Hope you all had a great weekend! Michael and I celebrated our anniversary on Friday night by going to see our favorite singer, Stephanie Porter, at Tula’s Jazz Club. Saturday I celebrated my upcoming 30th birthday at a joint party with my Cousin Lisa who just turned 30 too. It was so much fun! We had “white” party to which I wore my wedding dress that I had refashioned into a white cocktail dress. More on that to come next Monday, my actual 30th!
In thinking through what I was going to put together for Rich Life (on a budget)’s upcoming post “How I Wear My: Red, White, & Blue”, I realized that I have quite a few outfits that I like the idea of and don’t want to have to choose! So I’ve decided to run with the theme and each outfit I post now through the 4th will be Red, White, & Blue. Call it patriotic, nautical, whatever you want, I’m a big fan of this color combo : )
Today’s outfit is in preperation for Marionberry Style’s link up on Wednesday “Trend of the Month Challenge: Colorful Blazers“. What better way to start my series of Red, White, and Blue outfits than with a red blazer, one of my favorites! I used to be scared to do white on white in an outfit, but it has become a favorite of mine. I like the base it creates that you can then just layer color over. I also adore colorful blazers in general, a great way to add a fun, but polished touch to an outfit. I wore this for an exciting outing to work from Starbucks…
