Happy Friday! So excited for the weekend! Heading to see Gone Girl with my sorority sisters on Sunday and i can’t wait.

Wore this outfit last Thursday night out to dinner with my friend April. It was a day that was definitely feeling like fall so I pulled out my plaid clutch to mix things up.

Sometimes it is nice to just work around jeans and a white blouse, adding fun accents with accessories – an easy outfit formula when you don’t know what to wear!

Blouse – Banana Republic (similar), Jeans – American Eagle, Shoes – Enzo Angiolini (similar), Bag – Sole Society (similar)

Have a fabulous weekend, thanks for stopping by!

One of my readers, Regan, asked if I could provide details on some of my Paris outfits and I am happy to oblige! I actually packed completely wrong for Paris, I was thinking it would be more summer, and instead it was definitely leaning toward fall. My mother in law and I had to actually buy boots to wear in London and popped into Banana Republic to pick up some sweaters. I’ve added a few new pictures too.

For the warmest day I wore this floral midi skirt that I just love. planning on pairing with a burgundy top for fall.

I’ve been slacking on the posting lately because last Monday I headed out for a whirlwind tour of the West! I flew to LA to visit my mom for a few days, then spent a day in Long Beach with my friends before heading to San Diego for one of my best friend’s wedding. Now I’m currently in New Mexico for a few days with my sorority sister Kara and her 3 girls, heading home on a red eye Wednesday night. Whew!

I’m having a great time though, the wedding was just beautiful and then my first night in New Mexico Kara’s oldest daughter, Allie, and I made cocktails and mocktails – I call her my mini cray-cray : )

The Saturday before I headed out on my trip we celebrated my friend Mario’s birthday at a fun place in Manhattan called Barcade. I wore a new top I picked up recently at Nordie’s that I am obsessed with – the fringe just makes it so fun! For its first outing I paired with white jeans and black cage sandals – it doesn’t need a whole lot more!  I took an 8 in this top.

Top – Topshop, Jeans – Loft, Shoes – Franco Sarto (similar)

What are your picks this year? Happy Shopping!

Headed out to the financial district to meet a friend for drinks in this outfit last week, I’m loving all the ways to remix this white vest!

I’m working in Newark this week, helping my boss out with some stuff. Kind of nice to have some co-workers around for once, but I’m ready to get back to the city tomorrow for sure!

Happy Hump Day!

Burrr it is cold here! Doesn’t seem like spring is anywhere in site so I’m still picking up some winter finds, and there is a lot out there on sale or at great prices. Here are some suggestions:

Super Skinny Jeans from Loft, perfect for tucking into booties, and black ones are on sale for $35! I’m a size 27 in these.

I also love a good longer sweater, and this striped tunic on sale for just $20 is perfect. I have it in the Night Pine color, but would love a 2nd one. Not long enough for leggings, but great for skinnies. I took a medium in this.

Old Navy is tempting me with their cute nautical inspired sweaters, perfect for winter to spring.

Nordstrom has some great stuff on sale as well. This tunic is perfect to wear with leather leggings and booties, so cute. $47.40

I’m obsessed with this Vince Camuto sweater – I own it in green and purple – it has just the right amount of drape. Mine are a small. $53.40

Need a cute pair of waterproof boots? Check out these adorable Blondo boots, a steal at $103, I’m seriously considering these.

Banana Republic is having 40% off your purchase until 1/26 – if you have a need for professional items they are a great place to check out.

Wear this cute shirt dress now with black tights and booties, and wedges and bare legs once spring arrives.

I also love a good wrap dress and you can’t go wrong with leopard!

A sweater jacket is a great way to stay comfy while looking professional and pulled together. Wear over a dress or skirt and blouse for work, and with distressed jeans and a tee on weekends.

Ann Taylor is having 40% off until 5pm est. I’m loving this zebra print top!

Happy Shopping!

Last Friday we headed to Manhattan to our first “Childfree NYC” meet-up event. Basically it is a group of people who choose not to have children. We met some very fun new people, and were happy to find a great group who like children, just don’t want their own. No parent or child bashing, just interesting conversation with others who have the lifestyle flexibility of not having children. One of the women that we met had also moved to NYC from Seattle fairly recently with her husband, so we had a lot to talk about. There are just so many cool and unique people in this city!

I stuck with my neutral palate streak, but mixed it up a little by choosing my cognac skirt and adding a little print with my trusty leopard print scarf.

This weekend we are headed to Foxwoods Resort in Connecticut, along with my in-laws, to give my husband a late birthday celebration. His birthday is January 2nd and it is just so close to the holidays it seems to fall by the wayside. Makes me happy my birthday is in July! I’m looking forward to relaxing in the spa, and a comedy show with one of our favorite comedians who plays Kevin on “The League.” If you haven’t seen it, it is one of our favorite shows.

Happy Friday, hope you all have a wonderful weekend!

Hope all had a wonderful holiday with your friends and family!

We had a delicious and fun Christmas Eve dinner at my in-laws, with my mom in town joining us.

You can’t really see in the picture, but I’m wearing some black and silver brocade leggings (love them!), and an easy black tunic blouse. I’m generally obsessed with Hue leggings these days, I also bought these faux leather ones that are fabulous.

The day after Christmas my mom and I headed to Central Park for a little ice skating! Well, I skated and she took pictures : )

Tonight I’m headed out to dinner with Michael and a friend from college in Soho. Clearly it still looks like Christmas in this house! Must take down tree this week..

Tomorrow night we are headed out to dinner and a NYE celebration with another couple. I’m still not sure exactly what I am wearing, but think it is going to be my red satin pants with a sweater, or my black romper with a blazer… TBD!

Hope you all have a safe and fun New Year’s Eve!

Hope you all had a great Thanksgiving weekend! (Those of you in the US anyway) We had a fabulous time with my cousin and her boyfriend, and got to do lots of touristy things like a carriage ride in Central Park – so beautiful! Can’t wait for the Rockefeller Center tree lighting tonight so we can go see that lit up this weekend.

Tis’ the season for holiday parties now and the eternal question, what to wear? I spent last night putting together some outfits for dressier events, and then tomorrow or Thursday I will have Part 2 showcasing more casual holiday outfits. So excited that we finally have room for a tree this year, and it made the perfect festive background for these. I’m also pretty stoked I found the polka dot tree skirt at Marshall’s for $20 – it was just waiting there for me!

This first outfit is my favorite, perhaps because of the polka dots? I plan on wearing this to my sorority alumni holiday party next week. So fun and festive I think.

A fancy sweater dress is always great to have on hand for the holidays. Perfect for chilly nights and would work well for an office holiday party. I plan on wearing this to see a Christmas concert at Carnegie Hall.

I love figuring out new ways to wear my versatile black romper, and it is easy to dress up with a white tuxedo blazer, sparkly necklace, and red heels. I would wear this to a show or a night out to dinner around the holidays.

And finally something a little different – dressy shorts! Perhaps this should have gone in the more casual bracket, but we’ll go with it here. I think this would be a fun outfit for a holiday party at someone’s home, or just a fun night out. Not sure if I’m keeping these shorts, I have this pair from the Loft on the way and I will pick which I like best.

Happy Hump Day!

Well I have some big news to share with you all that explains why my life has been a little crazy lately, hence the very intermittent blogging… we are moving to New York!

My husband got a new job in the city, so we are in process of trying to find a place to live there and figure out all the logistics of moving across the country over the next few months. A little stressful right now, but I am very excited to experience all that a bigger city has to offer once we get settled in. We are very thankful to have my in-laws there to help make the transition a little easier!

It seems a little vacation is in order in the midst of all the madness, so we are headed down to San Francisco and Napa tomorrow through the weekend to meet up with Michael’s parents. They’ve never been to Northern Cali so we are excited to show them around!

Tonight I headed to happy hour with some girlfriends wearing my burgundy polka dot jeans from last year that I’m still loving, paired with a basic navy tee and favorite booties. I added this fun yellow bracelet that I picked up at a great boutique in New Mexico for a little contrast.

Hope you all have a great week and weekend – I’ll be back next week!

Jeans – Wit and Wisdom (similar), Top – Loft (similar), Booties – Vince Camuto, Bag – Michael Kors via Marshall’s, Necklace – Premier Designs, Bracelet – Crown Boutique
