I made it back from Nashville! We had so much fun, can’t believe I’d never been there before.
A few weeks back we went to see one of my good friends from high school, Elena, perform in an opera burlesque show – so cool! She’s an amazing opera singer.
I wore a pair of my favorite Old Navy Pixie Pants in this adorable red dot pattern, paired with an old open weave sweater and this denim jacket that is sooooo soft.
Thanks for stopping by, happy hump day!

We ended up having a gorgeous day in Seattle on Sunday, and the streak has fortunately continued. Our average temp this time of year is about 68 degrees, so we are very grateful to be getting above 70 now.
My husband took me out for a “Terrific Lady Day” which if you watch “The League” you will know what that means. If not, you are missing out, find it on Netflix! Basically we did whatever I wanted for the day without any complaining from him : ) Normally this would include shopping, but it was too nice out for that so we started the day off with brunch at an awesome French bistro in Pike Place Market, then strolled around the market and picked up some fresh veggies for the week.
I wore a casual maxi dress and topped with my much loved denim jacket to keep the chill out.

Then we hit a cafe for a cappuccino and some relaxing…
And following a quick wardrobe change met some of my girlfriends to enjoy a patio happy hour for the afternoon sunshine. Just my hubby and the girls… he had a blast : )
Hope you are all getting nice weather wherever you are too!

One of the most challenging things about living in Seattle is keeping warm in the spring while not dressing for winter. Although I can assure you there are plenty of people still walking around in boots and parkas. Colorful jeans are my go to because they are cheerful but just as warm as regular jeans.
I was heading to lunch and to work at Starbucks yesterday with my work from home friend, Savannah, and decided pulled out my bright coral jeans to plan around. I love the combo of coral and mint, so decided on a white open weave sweater with a mint necklace and topped with my denim jacket to try and stay warm. I was still cold, but fortunately didn’t have to be outside for long!
Almost to the 3 day weekend – whoo hoo!

Hope your week is off to a good start! Today I’m getting my post done to participate in Marionberry Style’s Trend of the Month Link Up: Animal Print that will be up tomorrow. It is no secret I’m a huge fan of animal print, I had a hard time choosing which piece to pull out for this! In the end I decided to dress down my leopard print skirt, for running errands and a sorority advisory board meeting I had yesterday, by pairing with a basic white t-shirt and denim jacket.
Be sure to head over to check out how all the other blogger’s wear their animal print tomorrow!
