Fashion, Fun, & a little Food

We had a beautiful Sunday in Brooklyn last weekend and headed out for brunch with friends. It was a little cool, but warm enough to wear this great sweater without an extra layer.

I’m headed to Nashville tomorrow for my annual girl’s trip – I’ll be back next week!

Remember – Life is Short, Shop Often! : )

So we’ve been having a cool spring but I am so over my wool and puffer coats! What is a girl to do? I decided a classic trench with a removable liner would be a good investment that I could wear to transition from winter to spring. So happy I found this great one from London Fog on sale! The quality is fabulous, definitely worth more than the $132 price tag. Get one while you can!

I was also excited to come across this sweater at Banana Republic that is perfect for both spring and fall, and even cool nights in the summer thanks to the open weave on the arms. It looks so cute with any denim, white jeans, red jeans, and black pants – lots of options!

And last but not least open toe booties – I was doubtful at how useful these would be but I’ve given in and I love them!

Thanks to my hubby for taking some outdoor pics for me and thanks to all of you for stopping by!

Last night I had some of my New York ladies over for a fun holiday party and gift exchange! So lucky to have such a great group of friends here in my new city.

I got these pants last year at Loft and they are perfect for a festive evening, and I’m loving lace right now, so I paired them together for a fun holiday outfit. I also decided to take advantage of staying in for the night by wearing my sparkly wedding shoes, that are a bit too high for me to wear out much now.

Hope you all are having a lovely holiday season so far!

Here I am with my friend Angela – she got me this super fun bag from Chelsea Market and I love it : )

Wore this for work and a sorority meeting Wednesday – unfortunately it was raining out so my feet were a bit wet! Oh well, fashion over function : )

So excited for this evening, we are headed to our first show of the season for the Carnegie Hall Pops series – tonight it is music of The Beatles!

Hope everyone has a fabulous weekend, Happy Friday!

Did everyone have a great weekend?! Had a fabulous night out on Saturday with friends at Park Avenue Autumn, a restaurant that changes seasonally. One of my favorite meals in NYC so far – if you are in the city then go! Sunday I headed to brunch and to see Gone Girl with the sorority girls. I loved it! Anyone else seen it yet?

I finally figured out the focus issue on my camera I think, so hopefully can have more outfit posts resume. But I’ve been doing some fall shopping and wanted to share some of my favorite finds so far.

This dress – get it. You may never take it off. I took a small.

Also love this dress, so comfortable and cute. For my friend Alicia who always asks me to shop for her – this would look fab on you! I took a small but would size down if you are between sizes.

One of my readers, Regan, asked if I could provide details on some of my Paris outfits and I am happy to oblige! I actually packed completely wrong for Paris, I was thinking it would be more summer, and instead it was definitely leaning toward fall. My mother in law and I had to actually buy boots to wear in London and popped into Banana Republic to pick up some sweaters. I’ve added a few new pictures too.

For the warmest day I wore this floral midi skirt that I just love. planning on pairing with a burgundy top for fall.

Skirt – Pure Sugar, I’m wearing a size large (similar), Jacket – Old Navy

As fall is fast approaching I’m pulling out all my summery florals and shoes. Wore this outfit to work from a coffee shop and run a few errands, a silky blouse and jeans with fun shoes is always an easy outfit formula.

This week has been a bit crazy packing for Paris! We leave Friday and I’m so excited. Michael and I are headed there with my in-laws, and then will spend our last weekend in Champagne on our own. This will be my last post as I get all my errands done and work wrapped up before we leave. I will be back just after Labor Day with lots of fun pictures to share!

Hope everyone has a fun and safe holiday weekend!

Today I’m joining a number of lovely ladies showing “How I wear my: White” hosted by Rich Life on a Budget and Everything Just So.

I wore this all white outfit to dinner and drinks with friends last Friday night. Pairing different textures is an easy way to make this kind of look work, then I just added some ankle strap sandals and citrus colored accessories for a little punch. I’m also obsessed with this gorgeous Kendra Scott necklace my husband gave me for my birthday – I wear it with just about everything!

Happy Hump Day!

Here is last Friday’s outfit, I was in the mood for some color! I was about to reach for a neutral shoe, when I saw my bright blue pumps and decided those looked more fun!

Stop by Rich Life on a Budget where I am participating in “How I Wear My: Pastels” along with lots of other lovely ladies.

Headed to happy hour with a few girlfriends last week and took advantage of the nice weather to wear my new white vest out. Paired with black jeans and added a hot pink necklace for a pop of color and my polka dot purse to add some pattern. Just like Stacy and Clinton say – color, texure, pattern, shine! Oh how I miss What Not to Wear…

Happy Friday!!
