So we’ve been having a cool spring but I am so over my wool and puffer coats! What is a girl to do? I decided a classic trench with a removable liner would be a good investment that I could wear to transition from winter to spring. So happy I found this great one from London Fog on sale! The quality is fabulous, definitely worth more than the $132 price tag. Get one while you can!

I was also excited to come across this sweater at Banana Republic that is perfect for both spring and fall, and even cool nights in the summer thanks to the open weave on the arms. It looks so cute with any denim, white jeans, red jeans, and black pants – lots of options!

And last but not least open toe booties – I was doubtful at how useful these would be but I’ve given in and I love them!

Thanks to my hubby for taking some outdoor pics for me and thanks to all of you for stopping by!

Can’t believe it is Wednesday already, where has the week gone!

Friday night we headed out to the opening night of the Carnegie Hall Pops. Their show was based on the music of The Beatles and was fantastic! I love these Sole Society mid-heels and am showing them here dressed, and then below dressed down. They are so comfy, versatile, and stylish.

Last night we headed out for dinner in the West Village with some friends, and I wore these with jeans and this great woven sweatshirt. I love the dressy-casual mix it provides.

We are headed out of town tomorrow morning through Sunday for our friends’ baby’s baptism in Guadalajara – can’t wait to see them all! Hope you all have a great weekend and I will be back next week!

As fall is fast approaching I’m pulling out all my summery florals and shoes. Wore this outfit to work from a coffee shop and run a few errands, a silky blouse and jeans with fun shoes is always an easy outfit formula.

This week has been a bit crazy packing for Paris! We leave Friday and I’m so excited. Michael and I are headed there with my in-laws, and then will spend our last weekend in Champagne on our own. This will be my last post as I get all my errands done and work wrapped up before we leave. I will be back just after Labor Day with lots of fun pictures to share!

Hope everyone has a fun and safe holiday weekend!

Yesterday I headed out with my new NYC friend Caitlin for happy hour – my favorite hour (or 3) of the day!

It is still a little cool here some days, not quite bare legs and sandals weather yet.

My go-to easy outfit is a pair of skinny jeans or pants, a floaty blouse, great heels, and then a scarf or necklace to add some color. This white blouse was a great find at Lord & Taylor, it isn’t sheer, is nice and long, and the back is fabulous. (should have taken a picture!) I’m one of those people who tends to buy things and the let’s them sit in the closet while I mull over keeping or returning. Not this blouse, I’ve already worn it 3 times! Also comes in beautiful shades of watermelon, coral, and emerald. I added a mint infinity scarf to give the outfit a touch of spring color.

Blouse – 424 Fifth (on sale!), Jeans – American Eagle (love these jeans), Shoes – Sole Society (recommend 1/2 size up), Bag – Nordstrom Rack, Scarf – Target (similar)

Have a great day!

Here this blouse is with another outfit I wore out when my friend’s were visiting, went great with leather leggings and red shoes.

Last week I was feeling a bit of cabin fever so decided to put myself together and go see an early movie. This cold makes me very unmotivated to leave the house, and we are supposed to get 8-10 inches of more snow on Thursday! So I am pretty much just wearing black pants with my snow boots and then trying to mix up my tops between blouses and sweaters. It is too cold for even tights right now as far as I am concerned… this weather is very limiting style-wise…

My husband told me many snow boots and coats are sold out all over the place due to this extra cold winter we’ve been having – I’m just glad I got my cute snow boots when I did I guess!

In more exciting news, it is New York Fashion week here, and while I’m not special enough to actually get invited to any shows, I did get to see Manolo Blahnik speak at the Apple store in Soho. Very cool! Yes, that is him wearing a full green suit.

Thanks for stopping by! Happy Tuesday!

Hope you’ve all had a good week! Mine has been pretty busy, last night I went to the NYC Chi Omega Alumnae holiday party which was a ton of fun, such a great group of ladies. Maybe I will make some new friends after all : )

Can’t believe Christmas is so close, I still have shopping to do! That’s what this weekend is for I think.

Yesterday I went out into the very cold weather to run some errands and decided my trusty faux fur vest would do a good job keeping me warm. As for the pants, my friend, Silvana, recommended I try these. I don’t do a lot of shopping at American Eagle, but I must say these pants are awesome and very budget friendly. They are true to size, mine are a 4, and if you decide to try them make sure you get a size that is very tight to start, they do give a little.
