There’s nothing like an easy dress to throw on when it’s hot outside. No one needs a tight waistband when they are sweating in the subway station, or in the car before the AC kicks in, right? Here are some great choices that won’t break the bank, so you can get more than one of course : )
Loft is having 40% off right now, so don’t wait
Graphic Print Crossover Dress – I took an XS in this
Striped Pleated Skirt Dress – I ended up with a 4 Petite in this, and I’m 5’5. You might want to try a Petite unless you are tall or have a long torso.
Cutout Back Maxi Dress – Love that you can wear a regular bra with this while showing just a little skin. I took a small.
Old Navy is also having a great sale on all of their dresses right now
Orange is having a moment right now and this dress is so cute! It actually has a decent amount of shape if you have curves, but I added a skinny belt to add some waist definition. I took a small.
I didn’t get to try this one on but I love the floral print on this sundress.
A little white dress is a summer must have.
And I think we need to throw a few rompers in because they are just as cute and easy as a dress
Love this one in chambray, but size down per reviews
This cotton one is easy to throw on with wedges or even as a swim cover-up. I took a small.
Happy Friday, have a great weekend!

Yesterday I headed out with my new NYC friend Caitlin for happy hour – my favorite hour (or 3) of the day!
It is still a little cool here some days, not quite bare legs and sandals weather yet.
My go-to easy outfit is a pair of skinny jeans or pants, a floaty blouse, great heels, and then a scarf or necklace to add some color. This white blouse was a great find at Lord & Taylor, it isn’t sheer, is nice and long, and the back is fabulous. (should have taken a picture!) I’m one of those people who tends to buy things and the let’s them sit in the closet while I mull over keeping or returning. Not this blouse, I’ve already worn it 3 times! Also comes in beautiful shades of watermelon, coral, and emerald. I added a mint infinity scarf to give the outfit a touch of spring color.
Blouse – 424 Fifth (on sale!), Jeans – American Eagle (love these jeans), Shoes – Sole Society (recommend 1/2 size up), Bag – Nordstrom Rack, Scarf – Target (similar)
Have a great day!
Here this blouse is with another outfit I wore out when my friend’s were visiting, went great with leather leggings and red shoes.

Guess what people??? It is sunny and going to be over 50 today! HAPPY FIRST DAY OF SPRING!!
Looks like this girl is going to be getting dressed, maybe taking some outdoor outfit pics, and then heading to Manhattan to do some returns.
Ann Taylor is having their friends & family sale right now – 40% off everything! Just use code TRENDS40
Here is what I have my eye on:
I think a white skirt is a must have for spring/summer. Just check out my Pinterest board where I pinned lots of white skirt outfits. A great price too.
Tie-front chambray shirt? Yes please. So cute with all your colorful or printed shorts.
Yes, you do need a gorgeous lace front top.
Maybe some adorable ankle jeans in an array of spring colors? I love the grey.
I love the J.Crew look of this blouse without the high price tag.
Finally, swimwear season is just around the corner – how adorable is this cover-up?
And its colorful counterpart…
Will you be picking up anything on this sale?

Happy Hump Day Everyone!
Hope you are all having a good week so far. If you are looking for some new reading material, I just finished an awesome new book by Denise Minger called “Death by Food Pyramid: How Shoddy Science, Sketchy Politics, and Shady Special Interests have Ruined our Health.” It is a fascinating in-depth look at how we arrived at the current food pyramid and recommendations and delves into some other areas too. I highly recommend.
If movies are more your thing, I went to see “Single Moms Club” with a few friends last night and it was really, really funny. There was a lot of laughing going on, and I don’t think it was just the wine!
Still pretty cold around here, but it is warming up finally I think! This past Saturday we hit Nordstrom with my MIL and found ourselves in the accessories department. I was happy to find a beautiful, high quality array of scarves by Halogen at amazing prices! And as always, Nordstrom has free shipping and returns.
Scarves are such an easy way to not only keep a little warmer in cool spring weather, but to add a pop of color or print to spice up an outfit.
Here are some of my favs, happy shopping!
Lavender Linen Blend
Hot Pink Linen Blend
Tossed Rope Linen Blend
Two Tone Infinity

Monday night I headed out to meet a few sorority sisters in Manhattan, so grateful that I’ve been able to make some friends through our awesome alumnae group here! We went to this gorgeous little speakeasy type place called Raines Law Room for cocktails – so good.
I had picked up this great little pastel pink moto jacket from Forever 21 and decided it was the perfect day to give it a spin. Inspired by Adrienne’s outfit here, I put together an all black base, and topped with my pink jacket. Definitely going to do a version again, when a little warmer, with the same Sole Society shoes that Adrienne is wearing with her outfit!
Pastels are huge for spring, will you be wearing some?
Happy Hump Day!

Hope everyone had a good weekend! Saturday I had a fun night out with 2 awesome girls that I met in my sorority alumnae group, Caitlin and Angela.
It was finally warm enough to not wear boots! I decided I had to wear out my new silver metallic pumps I recently picked up. I have been on the lookout for a pair of these ever since seeing all of the awesome outfits Marion has worn with her pair. I just had to wait for some with a mid-heel to come along a decent price, and Banana Republic finally helped me out! I paired up with some new two tone skinnies I found on clearance from Nordstrom, and I love the combo of grey suede and black coated denim.
Thanks for stopping by!
Jeans – 7FAMK (similar and also awesome), Shirt – Max Studio via TJ Maxx, Shoes – Banana Republic, Clutch – Coach, Necklace – Premier Designs

We are still battling the cold here, but after some snow on Sunday night, we are looking at hopefully warmer temps from here on out!
I wore this outfit to book club a few weeks back when it was frigid out. These leather leggings have been a go-to this winter, and I plan on wearing them well into spring!
My MIL gave me this scarf for Christmas and while I loved the print, I wasn’t sure exactly how to wear a square scarf. I ended up simply tying 2 ends together and letting it drape down the front. I got lots of compliments that night so I guess it turned out ok!
Happy Hump Day!

Can’t believe Wednesday is here already!
Sunday we headed out for brunch and a Sunday Funday with some friends of ours and had a great time. We braved the freezing temps and I can assure that I am way over winter. Spring better be coming early!
I saw this bright sweater at H&M and couldn’t resist. The perfect way to shake up my winter wardrobe.

Last night for dinner I made this delicious recipe for Spicy & Sticky Coconut Honey Chicken. Honestly, one of the best things I’ve ever made, so so good. Juli’s receips are just awesome. I used a little arrowroot powder instead of tapioca starch and it worked great.
Happy Hump Day! Stay warm out there.

Hope you all had a great weekend!
I did a little Christmas shopping with my MIL on Friday night, and Saturday I came home from Long Island to snow, snow and more snow! So pretty but very cold! Sunday, after brunch with a friend, we had a nice day just hanging around the house, and I spent the evening listening to Christmas music and reading a good book.
Last night we went out to dinner with my cousin, Rocky, for dinner at a great restaurant in the Meatpacking district called Catch. It is so cold right now that my outfits are based mostly on what will keep my feet and ankles warm! It is a little limiting but I’m doing my best.
You know I saw this blouse and had to have it right? And I also fell in love with this big cozy scarf – I definitely needed it to stay warm! This blouse, scarf, and vest are all on sale now too.
