Hope you all had a great weekend! Mine went much too quickly…

Friday Michael and I had a casual date night and went to dinner at a delicious restaurant in our neighborhood called Re:public.

I wore my favorite white jeans along with a navy polka dot blouse my MIL bought me (and she got one too!) while I was in NY in April, and since it was chilly, topped with my mint Zara blazer (last seen here). I added a pair of pink pumps for a pop of color.

We started dinner out with a delicious iceberg wedge topped with tomatoes, blue cheese and a homemade buttermilk ranch dressing. I was so excited I forgot to take a picture. We followed that with an absolutely to die for pork belly.

For the main course, we both ordered the halibut which was served over chickpeas with an artichoke puree. It was cooked to perfection.

Our side dish was something neither of us have ever had before, a lettuce called treviso. Topped with a bacon vinegarette it was so, so tasty.

If you live in Seattle, get yourself over there!

Now onto Sunday, when we dragged ourselves out of PJ’s to get out and enjoy the sun that decided to make an appearance. We headed downtown to pick up some tailoring from Nordstrom and then found ourselves a patio to have a late lunch on while we caught some rays.

Again I wore my white jeans. They are just so perfect when the weather isn’t that warm but you still want to look summery. I added a white tee, cardigan, colorful scarf, and flats. This is actually a great summer casual outfit formula. White on white casual pieces with pops of colors thrown in using a topper, accessories, and shoes.

We had lunch at a Mexican place downtown where we split some delicious shrimp lettuce wraps to start and then I had a tomatillo chicken topped with goat cheese and just asked for extra veggies instead of rice – so yummy!
