Winter Essentials

Here in Chicago things are getting chilly! Maybe even snow on Friday.

Here are some affordable winter essentials to get you through the cold weather looking chic.

Packable down is great for travel and I tried on a bunch to find one that I loved for my winter trips. This one is perfect! I love the rose gold detailing, it is very warm, has a hood, and is less than $100. True to size, I took a medium.

Bernardo Hooded Packable Down Coat – $98.90

I can’t spend a lot on gloves because I tend to lose them all the time, ugh. I already lost my first pair on a trip to Montreal last weekend! But at $25 I won’t beat myself up too much, and they really are gorgeous and warm. Bonus is that the touchscreen fingers works great! I wear a medium and have pretty average sized hands.

Leather touchscreen cashmere lined gloves – $24.99

My Blondo booties are essential for getting through winter while being warm and stylish. They are waterproof, very comfortable, and compared to other waterproof boots on the market, also affordable! Shop all Blondo boots (and shoes) here, many on sale!

Ellie Waterproof riding boots – on sale for $149.95 (I don’t have these but my friend Alicia loves them!) Also in suede here.

Norma Waterproof bootie – $149.95 (A classic to dress up or down in a few different colors)

Rapha Waterproof bootie – $149.95 (for those of us who like a bit more lift!)

Villa Waterproof bootie – on sale for $62.54 (a steal!)

In the winter I rely on scarfs for extra warmth and to add some color to my neutral coats. I have 4 of these wraps from Amazon and they are perfect. Also a great deal!

Reemonde Cashmere Blend Scarf – $15.99

We always need cozy lounge wear to slip into when we make it home, and I love the Old Navy graphic thermal knit collection. So fun and cute! I’m a small in the pants, and a medium in the tops.

Graphic Thermal Knit Top – $10-$14.99

Patterned Thermal Knit Leggings – $19.99

I pretty much exclusively wear Commando tights. They generally last a whole winter (and I wear tights a lot), and are the most comfortable tights I’ve ever found. Bonus is for those really cold days they have 110 Denier pair, that is thicker than regular opaque, to really keep the chill out! I wear a medium in these.

Commando Eclipse Opaque Tights – $40 (worth every penny, I promise!)

What helps you get through the winter?

xoxo,

Amy
