Happy New Year to you all! I know it is a little late, but I spent New Year’s Day recovering from too much champagne, and then on the 2nd I headed to Seattle for 5 days, so I’m just getting back into the swing of things.
New Year’s Eve we spent out in Manhattan with another couple, which was a ton of fun. I wore my Michael Kors sweater dress again, it was a great find, so easy to dress up or down. I paired it with my red Sole Society shoes to mix things up.
Here I am with my handsome hubby
When I returned from my trip to Seattle I was very excited to have a Nordie’s package waiting for me to open, and pulled out these gorgeous Michael Kors shoes I had ordered! My very sweet husband had bought me a pair of Jimmy Choos for Christmas, but unfortunately he didn’t realize that the 6 inch heels just weren’t going to work for me – it is the thought that counts though : ) So I exchanged them for these beauties with a more manageable 3 inch heel and I couldn’t be happier – they are going to be getting a ton of use once the weather warms up a tad. I might even wear them with tights sooner! I took a 38.5 in these, I would say I’m usually an 8 so went up a half size.
Shoes – Michael Kors
Last night I headed out to meet up with my Chi Omega Alumnae Group – such a fabulous set of women! They have this great program where you get matched up to be “big sisters” and “little sisters” and last night was when all the newly matched bigs and littles met up. My alumnae big sis, Morgan, is awesome and I’m very excited to get to know her better.
I don’t often wear button up shirts, they seem to always pull across my chest, and I just don’t feel as feminine in them, but when I slipped on this blouse from Ann Taylor it fit like a glove. Plus the sparkly collar gave it a nice feminine touch. I can’t resist shiny things! I paired with my faux leather front pants and suede booties to keep my feet warm. Fortunately, I did notice after these pics that I had rolled one sleeve higher than the other… so you can just ignore that : )
Have a great weekend, thanks for stopping by!
