Merry Christmas!

Hope you all are having a wonderful Christmas Eve!

We’ve been having lots of holiday fun in New York, my mom is in town visiting from California, so we’ve been keeping busy doing touristy things.

Thursday we went to Rockefeller Center and wandered around the city…

And then to Carnegie Hall for a Holiday Pops Concert, it was such a pretty venue and the show was amazing. I decided to wear a sweater dress with boots because it works for both a casual day and a dressy event. (I’m a terrible photo editor and can’t fix the red eye here…)

Friday my mom headed out to visit her cousin in Connecticut, so we hit the town with Michael’s parents. Went to dinner and then walked around the city, it is just so festive this time of year.

It was a fairly warm night so decided to take advantage by wearing my new dressy shorts with tights, a simple black t-shirt, and then added my faux fur jacket.

Here we are visiting the spot where Michael proposed at Rockefeller Center, quite a few years ago now!

Aren’t my in-laws cute?

Sunday we headed out for Sunday Funday with our friends Brian and Lauren who are in town visiting family in New Jersey. We had so much fun!

It was a really warm day, hitting 72 in the city, so I stayed away from sweaters and boots and instead went for ankle jeans and a long sleeved tee. Obviously I had to leave the guy in the picture giving me a funny look, what is this girl doing? : )

Yesterday I spent the day cooking for Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, stuff to take to my in-laws.

I was in charge of mashed sweet potatoes – just 8 big sweet potatoes peeled and boiled, mashed with 4 Tbsp. of butter, 1/2 a cup of half and half, and then seasoned to taste with cinnnamon, nutmeg, and salt.

For Christmas morning I whipped up these coconut flour muffins – so tasty!

Thank you so much for stopping by, I wish you all a wonderful holiday and very Merry Christmas!!
