Holiday Outfits Part 1

Hope you all had a great Thanksgiving weekend! (Those of you in the US anyway) We had a fabulous time with my cousin and her boyfriend, and got to do lots of touristy things like a carriage ride in Central Park – so beautiful! Can’t wait for the Rockefeller Center tree lighting tonight so we can go see that lit up this weekend.

Tis’ the season for holiday parties now and the eternal question, what to wear? I spent last night putting together some outfits for dressier events, and then tomorrow or Thursday I will have Part 2 showcasing more casual holiday outfits. So excited that we finally have room for a tree this year, and it made the perfect festive background for these. I’m also pretty stoked I found the polka dot tree skirt at Marshall’s for $20 – it was just waiting there for me!

This first outfit is my favorite, perhaps because of the polka dots? I plan on wearing this to my sorority alumni holiday party next week. So fun and festive I think.

Skirt – Vince Camuto via Nordstrom Rack (similar hereherehere, and here), Turtleneck – Loft (similar), Shoes – Sole Society, Tights – Commando

A fancy sweater dress is always great to have on hand for the holidays. Perfect for chilly nights and would work well for an office holiday party. I plan on wearing this to see a Christmas concert at Carnegie Hall.

Dress – Michael Kors via Marshall’s (get it here on sale!), Shoes – Audrey Brooke via DSW (similar), Tights – Commando, Clutch – Ann Taylor (similar)

I love figuring out new ways to wear my versatile black romper, and it is easy to dress up with a white tuxedo blazer, sparkly necklace, and red heels. I would wear this to a show or a night out to dinner around the holidays.

Romper – Loft (similar), Blazer – Zara (similar), Shoes – Sole Society, Clutch – Ann Taylor, Necklace – Premier Designs

And finally something a little different – dressy shorts! Perhaps this should have gone in the more casual bracket, but we’ll go with it here. I think this would be a fun outfit for a holiday party at someone’s home, or just a fun night out. Not sure if I’m keeping these shorts, I have this pair from the Loft on the way and I will pick which I like best.

Shorts – Gap Outlet (similar), Shirt – Loft (similar), Shoes – Sole Society, Bag – Michael Kors (similar)
