Hope you all had a great weekend! Mine would have been better without so much rain, ah, spring in the PNW. Still had fun celebrating a friend’s birthday on Friday and dinner out on Saturday.
Sunday I did a little Instagram documenting to share.
After some coffee and couch lounging Michael popped down to Whole Foods to pick up some things to make a delicious chorizo breakfast hash. He sauteed bacon, onions, and sweet potatoes, then added the chorizo to cook and topped with farm fresh eggs that a co-worker brought him from their farm on Whidbey Island. Yum! He is becoming quite the breakfast chef.
After breakfast I went out to do some returns and of course a little shopping. When I go shopping I try to wear something that is easy to get in and out of, including shoes. I chose a basic white tee and jeans, then added a mint blazer that could easily be removed to try things on over the the t-shirt, and slingbacks to get in and out of easily for trying on shoes. This is my new favorite basic tee from Target, the fit is great! And for only $8 you can stock up.
Favorite purchase of the day was this white faux leather jacket that definitely looks real, the quality and detailing is very nice. The white is great for keeping warm while still feeling like spring. I took a medium in it and have room to layer over sweaters and such.
Came home and whipped up an easy dinner, zucchini pasta that I made using my new spiral slicer that worked fabulously, topped with a vodka meat sauce that I also added broccoli to for extra veggies.
I then mixed up a pitcher of pomegranate martinis for my girlfriends that were coming over to watch the Mad Men premiere. The only changes I made to this recipe was to use only a half cup of orange liquor and then I added a cup of soda water.
While the Mad Men Martinis were chilling, I changed into something a little more relaxed…
Jeans – Gap, Sweater – Express
And then enjoyed the Mad Men premiere with my girls! Pretty good Sunday despite the rain…
Anyone else watch the season premiere? What did you think?
