I can’t believe Christmas is right around the corner, where does the time go? We are headed to New York tomorrow to spend the holidays with my in-laws in New York. I am so excited, our time with them is always fun, relaxing, and full of my favorite loud Italians! I fit right in : ) Plus, on Saturday we are going to see the Rockettes at the Radio City Christmas Spectacular – can’t wait!
We won’t be flying back home until January 3rd, so my posting might be a little intermittent over the next few weeks as I will likely be spending more time in my cozy lounge clothes than in actual clothes, but I will try to get out a few posts while I’m gone. I will definitely be getting dressed for New Year’s Eve though, happy I finally found this dress at Victoria’s Secret on sale for $40. I ended up getting it in the Indigo Mood color and I love it!
Anyhow, onto today’s post. This past Saturday we had a “Fire & Ice” themed party to celebrate my good friend Sam’s 30th birthday. What can I say, I’m a sorority girl at heart and love a good theme party. It was so much fun and everyone looked fabulous – wish we had done this back in college!
For the party I had an old red Calvin Klein dress, that I found at Ross a few years ago on clearance, hemmed to be a little shorter to give it more of a party dress look. It was knee length before so a bit more conservative. I topped with my winter white tuxedo blazer, and then accessorized with sparkly gold shoes I picked up on clearance and a gold statement necklace.

Here I am with the birthday girl and my cousin, Lisa
And some other fun snapshots from the night with our festive friends, thanks to everyone who came to celebrate!

A theme party, what fun! I’m thinking of an ugly Christmas sweater party for next year’s holiday season.
