Dots and Ruffles

Happy Friday! Doesn’t it feel good to say that? Tonight Michael and I are having a nice evening in, catching up on Top Chef and Dexter and eating Thai food, then tomorrow we are headed to his company holiday party. I’m a little sad it is a somewhat casual affair this year as I always like an excuse to dress up, but  I will come up with something festive to wear anyhow.

Yesterday I ended up getting dressed to go meet my boss who was in town for a meeting, and there were some other executives in as well, so I went for a business casual look. My polka dot blouse topped with a ponte jacket, my skinny black pants, and red heels were comfortable but professional enough.

Hope you all have a wonderful weekend and maybe some fabulous holiday parties to get dressed up for : )

P.S. I found this great pair of velvet pants at Ann Taylor if they might be helpful to completing a holiday party look for you, you know I’m a big fan of mine

Jacket – WHBM (similar), Pants – Ann Taylor, Blouse – Tinley Road, Shoes – Corso Como (similar from Target), Bag – Ferragamo

Very cute, Amy! I always love black, white and red together. I love those shoes, too! I have the same pair in nude. They are quite comfy.

Black, red and white are lovely at this time of year. I am also finding that holiday parties are far more casual than they used to be. And I miss dressing up.
