I know we are a little late to the party, but Michael and I are headed to see Skyfall in Imax tonight if tickets don’t sell out before we get there. It is a rainy day here in Seattle so I decided a simple outfit of a sweater and boots was in order to be comfy and cozy for the show.

A few weeks back I went thrift shopping with my friend, Sarah, at Goodwill and found this pale pink sweater. After a dry cleaning I went to put it on today and the very deep cowl neck just wasn’t looking right once I put a cami under it. Rather than give up and send it back to Goodwill, I decided to try playing around with options to pin the cowlneck up. I ended up twisting it to the side and pinning it up with a broach. Sweater saved! : ) What do you think, look ok?

Amy, the sweater looks great pinned. When you tried it on at Goodwill it was a little va-va-voom for pubic viewing (for Michael’s eyes only). I love it now, you look very chic!

Thanks Sarah! Had such a fun time thrifting with you!

Looks great!

It looks lovely!! Love the color. And that coat is gorgeous.

I love the boots outside the pants. Very Chicago!

Yes, I want to steal that cape. 🙂 The softer colors are lovely for this time of year. I’m already tiring of black and greys and it’s not even December yet! And I like the twist neckline with the brooch, so clever!

Oh my goodness….you look fantastic in a cape! I have tried to wear one and it looks horrible on me.

Hope you’ve been well! I am embarrassed that I neglected to put you back on my blog roll after I moved domains…so sorry! It’s back on now.

xo, Adrienne

P.S. How I Wear My: Plaid is coming up next week. Hope you’ll join me and Jill this month!

Thanks so much! I didn’t get my act together in time for plaid this month – next month!

Wow! I think this is such a beautiful outfit! Your sweater is such a gorgeous find, and I like the pinned look – at first glance I thought it was just a very elegant style of neckline. You’re rocking the jeans and boots too!
