Leather Pants and more Sparkles

Well, certainly an interesting election night last night, huh? I spent the evening not watching it, and instead enjoying the musical “Addams Family” at the 5th Ave which was really cute. We had some interesting referendums here on the ballot in WA that we are still awaiting the final results on – hoping referendum 74 passes! But if you are a marijuana smoker I’m pretty sure the verdict is in that and you can get it right here legally in good old Seattle if you are over the age of 21 now. Well enough about politics, let’s get onto the important stuff! : )

So sorry for my lack of posting this week – I’ve been deep in packing, laundry, errands, and more packing mode. I’m trying to pack “light” for this trip to Ecuador, and that isn’t easy for me! I basically start having mini panic attacks that I will in fact greatly miss my pink sandals – it isn’t normal! Oh well, somehow I will manage.

Today is going to be my last post before I leave, so I have not 1, but 2 outfits to share.

I wore this first one to my friend Jaymee’s birthday party a few weeks back, thanks to Mollie for taking a picture for me! I’m loving these faux leather front pants from Ann Taylor – they have ponte on the back so are very comfortable.

Pants – Ann Taylor, Blouse – Old Navy (similar), Shoes – Nine West, Clutch – Ann Taylor

This 2nd outfit I wore out to dinner with my girlfriends this past Friday night. I decided to do my cranberry (or I guess we could go with oxblood) skinny cords paired with shoes of almost the same color. And because weekends deserve some sparkle, I topped with my sequin front sweater. I was also very excited to find this tan suede Michael Kors bag at Marshall’s in Boston for a steal – love designer discount stores!

Pants- Loft, Sweater – Old Navy; Shoes – Circa Joan & David (similar), Bag – Michael Michael Kors

Hope you all have a wonderful Thanksgiving with your family – admittedly I will kind of miss the turkey dinner! My adorable fashionista friend, Reina, is going to be doing some blogging for me while I am gone, and I also have another fabulous blogger lined up, so be sure to check in. I will be back on the 26th!

Have a great trip! Lovely red/oxblood cords. I always enjoy cords in cooler months.

Love both outfits! Just received those same exact loft pants and can’t wait to wear them!

Gah!! You’re KILLING ME, here!! First of all, LOVE the faux leather pants! Especially with the ponte on the back!! I feel like such a copy cat because I want to run out, try them and then BUY THEM!! We’ll see. Also, the sparkly sweater is PERFECT for the upcoming holidays and I just LOVE how you paired it with those beautiful colored cords!
Have a FANTASTIC trip, Amy. Safe journey to you and Happy Thanksgiving! I’ll miss your posts while you’re out.
