A Casual Friday

Happy Labor Day Weekend everyone! Sorry for my extended absence. The travel to get to Detroit and back was a complete disaster and it left me exhausted. Not too exhausted to shop the Labor Day sales of course : )

Friday afternoon I decided to head downtown and take advantage of some coupons I had for the Labor Day sales, so I needed an outfit that was comfy and easy to get in and out of, along with comfy shoes for walking.

I don’t do a whole lot of pant cuffing, because I think it tends to shorten legs, but I picked up this pair of jeans at the Nordstrom Anniversay Sale and I’m kind of liking it with these. Maybe I just never had the right pair! I like the casual vibe it lends to an outfit and it shows off your shoes.

Here are some recommendations from my shopping excursion!

1. I’m obsessed with these polka dot (shocking right?) pants from Ann Taylor – they are so cute on and very comfy! Worth the money I think, if you can get them 25% off by mentioning the coupon in People StyleWatch.

2. Loft is having a great sale right now and this skirt for $25 is a steal. These pants are also adorable, and while not on sale, I loved enough to not take the chance on missing out – that rarely happens!

3. H&M is having a great sale, and they have some ponte blazers in an array of gorgeous Fall colors on sale for $30 – be sure to stop by!

4. Express is having a killer sale – 30% off of everything, and then you can use any coupons you have on top of that. I picked up this awesome dress that is very slimming thanks so the darker sides, along with this fabulous tunic in a rich burgandy color that will be perfect for leggings, and then this dolman sleeve sweater in this neutral pink color I think will be great for Fall with rich browns.

Did you find any great deals at the Labor Day sales? Enjoy the long weekend everyone!

That shade of blue is stunning, and I love those neutral shoes!
