Hope you all had a wonderful 4th of July celebration! We finally had a sunny and fairly warm day, so spent the day enjoying the sunshine with friends, then later in the night we walked to Lake Union to see the fireworks. Lots of fun! I wore a blue on blue striped maxi dress and threw on a red necklace so I looked nice and festive. When it got chilly at night I added my white cardigan to stay warm while we watched the fireworks.
Dress – Old Navy, Necklace – got on vacation in Mexico, Cardigan – Halogen
My friend, Lorena, wanted a picture of her outfit too… (she doesn’t read my blog so I figure I can post this without her ever knowing – note to friend’s who don’t read my blog – I may post funny pictures of you!)
Here are the girls waiting for the fireworks to start!
We woke up to a beautiful warm day here in Seattle this morning. Everyone jokes that Summer in Seattle doesn’t start until July 5th, but it really seems to be the truth. Michael and I packed up a picnic lunch and headed to the Olympic Sculpture Park to relax, sit in the sun, and enjoy the gorgeous water view.
Over my swimsuit I wore the adorable sailboat print shorts I picked up at Old Navy for $17, a navy tank, and gold accessories including this fun little anchor necklace that was super cheap at F21. I am also loving my orange purse that was a birthday gift from some very good friends – it adds a fun contrast of color to just about anything!
Shorts – Old Navy, Tank – Old Navy (similar), Sandals – Old Navy, Necklace – F21, Bag – Kate Spade (similar)
Looking forward to more sun tomorrow and at least through the weekend here – we get very excited to have more than 2 days in a row of temperatures over 70! : )

That dress is so great on you. I have to say that you have the cutest red, white and blue outfits. I think I was able to produce all of two in the last week or so – and one was just blue and white!
It must be nice to have such mild summers. I do not like hot weather. Enjoy your sunshine and have a great Friday!

I spoke with my parents (they live on Whidbey) and they were pretty jazzed that the weather was going to get above 60. I noticed your friend with the blanket – I remember those 4th of July’s very well with a blanket!
Loving your maxi dress. They really are the best thing to wear in the summer.

Haha! Love the pic of Lorena.
Bummed we had to miss the fireworks…think we’ll just stick to iced tea next year…
The shorts are adorable. Glad you’re getting the opportunity to actually wear them!
