As mentioned yesterday, we had a fabulous Memorial Day weekend in San Diego. We spent our time there with 4 other couples who are all awesome. We met up with Michael’s college buddies, their gorgeous wives, and then our fun friend’s Amanda and Brandon who live here in Seattle joined us as well.
Friday we were welcomed by clouds and cold, but Saturday we woke up to a beautiful day and the rest of the weekend was sunny and perfect.
Michael and I kicked off Saturday morning with a workout at the nearby Crossfit. I am officially one of those people that works out on vacation now, my husband is such a bad influence! : ) I typically get my workout gear at Old Navy in case you are wondering. Affordable, cute enough, and functional.
Then it was time to hit the beach! Now that is more vacation like…
I’m a big fan of Old Navy swimsuits, I get just about all of mine there. Grabbed this one at their recent 40% off sale. I love the fit on the bottoms, and it is fun to mix and match them. Here is a link to these bottoms, they have some fun detailing.
Amanda and I then proceeded to
make ask her husband to get a picture of us jumping in the air. It took quite a few shots but we finally got it! He is very patient.
(Amanda is also a fan of Old Navy swimsuits and we both share the same taste apparently, because the same suit she is wearing in this pic, I brought to wear the next day!)
Saturday night after dinner we headed to an awesome rooftop lounge. I wore a new T. Tahari maxi dress I picked up at the Nordstrom half yearly sale (you can get it here), and Amanda, Queen of finding the best things at Forever 21, rocked a gorgeous one from there that I’m thinking I might have to get myself…
Oh, and if you are looking for a great pair of low heeled sandals, these are amazing. I want them in every color.
While in San Diego, we stayed at the Hard Rock Hotel there, and on Sunday they have a crazy party called “Intervention” so of course we had to go. We reserved ourselves a nice little couch with bottle service and spent the day dancing in the sun!
The girls starting the day off right with grapefruit mimosas, my favorite
The guy’s ready to party
And the day goes on from there…
Monday we headed home, and back to reality unfortunately, but very grateful to have had good weather and time with wonderful friends.
So there’s my little vacay recap, hope you all had a great long weekend as well!
