Happy Monday!

Hi there, hope you all had a nice Easter weekend, and maybe some of you even got a day off. We actually got some sun here in Seattle finally, who hoo! Michael and I went to sit on our condo terrace on Saturday afternoon with mimosas to soak up some Vitamin D and even though I still had to wrap up in a blanket because the wind made it chilly, it was very nice. And yesterday was actually a record breaking 70 degrees!

We had our friends Jed and Lorena over for an Easter dinner because on Friday I found leg of lamb on sale at Whole Foods and decided it was time I tried my hand at making one, especially after last week’s delicious slow cooked lamb shoulder. I made an herb rubbed roast leg of lamb, and served along with a cauliflower and sweet potato puree and roasted asparagus. We finished it up with a delicious dessert wine and strawberries with fresh whipped cream. My leg of lamb roasted more to medium than medium rare, but it was still yummy! I read so many different temps on when to take it out, but now I know to take it out at 130 degrees next time, sometimes you have to learn by trial and error.

I also have a few outfits to share.

This first one I wore sometime last week was inspired by a picture once again found on Pinterest. My boards for fashion there are getting a little big! So here is the outfit I found my inspiration from…

And my version…

Jeans – Paige, Blouse – Old Navy, Sweater – Banana Republic, Shoes – Nine West, Necklace – c/o Bon Lemon

And for a beautiful and relatively warm day here in Seattle, I decided to break out my gingham shirt which is a great Spring layering piece. I just added skinny jeans, my mustard cardi, and a pair of fun pumps to do a little pattern mixing. Finally, no jacket required!

Jeans – 7FAMK, Blouse – Old Navy (similar), Cardigan – Halogen, Shoes – Target

This will probably be my only post this week, I’m headed to New York on a red eye tomorrow night, one of our good friend’s is getting married on Thursday. Then we are spending the weekend in the city with friends, and Michael heads back to Seattle Sunday, but I am staying the week with my in laws because my sister in law’s wedding shower is that next weekend. Fortunately I can just work the week from there so I don’t have to fly back and forth from Seattle 2 weekends in a row – that is too much flying for me! Anyway, I will try and take pictures to share and do some posting from NY once things settle down.

Hope you all have a wonderful week!!

How fun to be heading to NY! Have a great trip.
The lamb looks delicious. We had lamb chops yesterday but they were way overcooked (not by me).
I like both looks – classic. And your hair in the second photo is a little curlier than normal…I like it!
Looking forward to your next post! Have a wonderful trip.
