Addicted to Dots

Whoo hoo, the weekend is here! St. Patty’s Day weekend no less. Thankfully I have a green blouse to wear so I don’t get pinched!

Just wanted to share a yummy recipe quickly – yesterday I made Honey Ginger Apple Shredded Pork from PaleOMG in the Crockpot and it was easy and tasty. I used some coconut nectar instead of honey, and used 1 Tbsp. of powdered ginger, but this would have been great with fresh if you have it I’m sure. I served with cauliflower puree and balsamic broccoli (just frozen broccoli sauteed in coconut oil with a few splashes of balsamic vinegar).

Super excited to go wedding dress shopping tomorrow morning with my friend Kenzie. I get to be a bridesmaid for the first time since my early twenties! Yay!! Then going to have some afternoon fun at an Irish pub to celebrate the holiday with friends (although I will be drinking wine rather than green beer), and Sunday I’m taking a Primal cooking class! Hoping to get some new recipes to share with you all.

Tonight Michael and I are headed back downtown to try and find him some clothes for his trip to Miami next week and hopefully meet some friends for dinner while out. He unfortunately did not have much luck at Nordstrom, he is just too buff! It is a rough problem to have…

I may have a polka dot addiction. I really could wear them everyday. Did I ever share with you all my rehearsal dinner dress? Polka dots of course.

Today’s polka dotted blouse, however, is a new favorite, and not just because it was free. This gorgeous silk blouse was a cast off of my friend Amanda’s, and it came with tags still attached. Something about her not liking the color with her hair, believe me I didn’t argue, I was more than happy to give it a new home. Since we have to walk a number of blocks tonight (yay for the sun being out and some dry weather for once!) I paired with jeans and my comfy wedge boots. Pretty sure this blouse will be making another apperance next week when I have to go do some site visits for work!

Hope you all have a fabulous weekend!!

Stepping My Way to Bliss

Found your blog through Cupcake–lovely! Adrienne (from The Rich Life) finally convinced me this past week to join the Visible Monday posts. What do you think I wore/showed for this first time event? My black and white polka dot dress. It was so funny to me because I hadn’t worn the dress in forever but then there were a few other women sporting their polka dots the same day. Then I wandered over here and what do I see…more dots!! : )

ha ha, they are very popular this season, but truly they are classic

Yum; now that I have my slow-cooker and a huge trip to Costco, I am able to try the pork recipes. I’ve never tried frozen broccoli, so I’ll have to give that a go.

I really like that polka dot Marilyn dress! So adorable and ladylike.

Frozen broccoli is great for stir frys and such too, definitely give it a shot. Thanks!

Haha, definitely not a bad problem to have. Poor Michael :).

I’m loving polka dots too, and your hair today is fabulous!

Marionberry Style

Two things:
1) That pork looks amazing!! I have seriously been scrounging through blogs trying to find a crockpot recipe that had great reviews and fit within our diet guidelines. I love your changes here so I am excited to make it!
Do you have any other crockpot recipes you love?
2) I need to be friends with your friends!! What a gorgeous blouse to hand off…it looks like it was made for you (you look like you walked right out of a Ralph Lauren catalog…) Love it!

Can’t wait to see what neon you pulled together for Wednesday’s link-up! 🙂

Thanks Marion! Check out my Recipe Index under the title Slow Cooker, I have a bunch there. My absolute favorite is Everyday Paleo’s Beyond Easy Pulled Pork though, I make it just about every week. Thanks for the link up reminder, I will get that done tonight!

Hope you had a nice weekend! I’ve got a quick question….please help!! what do you wear under the sheer blouse??? I’ve got two sheer blouses (one is white with grey pattern; the other is navy blue with dots). I can never seem to pair them correctly!! Thanks in advance!!

I love your hair styled like that!

That top is *perfect* on you! Much better with your style and coloring. Love what you paired it with too.

And I second the hair tutorial idea!
