Jenn’s 30th Birthday

Today would have been my best friend Jenn’s 30th birthday. I can’t help but think what party we might have been planning. And by we I mean me. I am a total planner and Jenn was always working crazy hours at the hospital so I would keep track of her nights off and plan the things we did around them. She always used to say I knew her schedule better than she did.

This is one of my favorite pictures of her, so cute. I swear I remember her laugh and voice still like I got to hear them yesterday.

Her sister, Kristin, also one of my very good friends, put together this wonderful slideshow a few years back, just click here to see it. Here are Jenn and Kristin on a trip their family took just before she passed away.

Jenn was such a beautiful person, inside and out. It is clear this song “Who You’d Be Today” was written by someone who lost a loved one at a young age. I think it really touches anyone who has lost someone special – you can’t help but wonder from time to time what it would be like if they were still here.

Would you see the world? Would you chase your dreams?
Settle down with a family,
I wonder what would you name your babies?
Some days the sky’s so blue,
I feel like I can talk to you,
An’ I know it might sound crazy.

Happy 30th Birthday Jenn, we miss you so, so much! I promise to have a glass of champagne (or 2) just for you : )

You brought me to tears. What a beautiful post, Amy. Life is so precious…thank you for sharing and CHEERS to you and Jenn.

A beautiful post. I lost a friend when I was 18. I still can recall his laugh and devious ways. The good ones never really leave us, they simply take a step back and play a supporting role. Happy birthday to Jenn…

Thank you for posting the slideshow. 🙂

Love ya!

So sorry to hear about your loss! Jenn sounds like such an amazing person, and your beautiful post brought me to tears. Happy birthday to Jenn. <3

So awesome! I miss Jenn. I always wonder what she would be doing today! Jenn was an awesome girl, and she is probably awesome in heaven too.

That is so tragic. What a lovely young woman Jenn was.

My college roommate passed away at 33. I still can’t believe she is gone. Thank you for sharing this with us. xo, A
