Hope you all had a fun Superbowl weekend! We didn’t watch it at all. One of my favorite things about my husband is that he has no interest in watching any sports other than soccer. I am going to be slightly more annoyed about this now that he decided we needed to add some soccer channel to our new cable package, but at least Sundays all winter don’t revolve around football games.
Fortunately we are almost completely settled into our new place thanks to my Mom being able to make a trip up from Southern California on Friday to help us out, and she is here through Wednesday. She is a genius at kitchen organization and I am so excited to be able to cook in my nice big kitchen and pull out everything I need very easily!
We are still waiting on our new couch and couch pillows to be delivered, so once that comes I will take some decor pictures to share, but I just had to snap this photo last night of all 3 of my kitty kids enjoying their new home.
Today is my first day of outfit pictures at the new place and I am struggling to find a good spot! We now have floor to ceiling windows that face South and West so we get tons of light in the morning so a lot more shadows and such to deal with. Plus my eyes look like some freaky pale blue color with all the light, so I might just have to not look at the camera ever… Anyway, this is the best spot I have right now, we’ll see how it goes.
Ever since seeing this picture on Pinterest…
I’ve been obsessed with finding a navy and white polka dot blouse. Too bad the ad picture above was for the shoes and not the blouse or I would have bought that exact one! So when I came across the blouse I’m wearing today at Macy’s for 50% plus a $10 off coupon, and an additional 20% off coupon, I didn’t pass it up. It ended up costing me $20 which I covered with a gift card. Go me. I think it is a little too boxy off the rack, but for that price I can afford to take it to the tailor and have it shaped at the waist a little. I decided to use this photo for my inspiration and pair with dark jeans and red heels today, but I am thinking it could be fun in the Spring tucked into my yellow pencil skirt, and also will work with a belt added at the waist.
