Snow!

Hope you all had a great weekend! Friday night was spent enjoying apple and onion stuffed pork chops along with bacon brussels sprouts while catching up on our favorite TV shows. Saturday I tagged along with Michael for a Crossfit work out and did power snatches for the first time. I got up to 55 pounds – yay! In case you are wondering, here is a demo of a power snatch. Saturday night I had a surprise birthday party for Michael – lots of fun! Unfortunately I was very remiss in taking pictures… Sunday was spent recovering from Saturday, while we watched the snow fall outside our window. We don’t get snow in downtown Seattle very often!

Needless to say, it is still very cold here today, more so than Friday! So I’m sorry, but I either had to take outfit pics and take the bus, or skip outfit pics and get a ride to work in the nice warm car with the hubby. I picked the latter. But I can assure you, nothing earth-shattering going on today. I’m wearing the same jeans and boots I wore Friday, because these are my best icy streets boots, along with a black turtleneck and my Express faux fur vest.

So what do you get when I can’t manage to take photos? How about a great link from Whole9 on Get Out of Good Food Jail: Tips and Tricks from Top Paleo Chefs (great tips on making good, real food while not being chained to a cutting board everyday) and a video that will make you laugh this lovely Monday. My friend Amanda sent this over to me this weekend, and it is hilarious. Apparently this guy knows all about my love for vodka sodas, champagne, and that I constantly ask my husband if I should get bangs…

Working on a bargain picks post to have out in the next few days, so stay tuned for that! Happy Monday!

Totally loved that video….. “how long do you think it will take them to grow out?” But he left out ” Oh, about three days. Every haircut looks good in about three days. “

Yay for snow! I am very envious – we have only had snow at ground level once in the 12 years we’ve lived here.

Funny video…I love the sh*t fill-in-the-blank videos that are making the rounds. Have you seen the one about personal trainers’ clients? It’s so funny. I will send you a link as soon as I find it.

Oh my gosh so funny! Sounds like the trainer doing this is a low carber : ) I love that he is saying to eat more fat and avoid bread.
