Hint of Sparkle

Hope you all had a great weekend! Mine was a lot of fun, but also productive which is a good way for a weekend to be.

I’ve actually worn this sweater a number of times but this is it’s first appearance on the blog. I picked it up awhile back on clearance at the Loft. I loved it’s subtle sparkle, perfect for day and night. Decided to contrast that with my wine colored skinny cords and then added a statement necklace and gold accessories to finish it off.

I’m headed to see Rodgers and Hammerstein’s Cinderella at the 5th Ave Theatre here in Seattle tonight. It is one of my all time favorite musicals (the music is totally different from the Disney version) but I have never seen it live so I am really excited. Plus the theatre is always decorated so nicely during the holidays. I will probably just change out these cords for my winter white trousers before heading there – I planned this day well!

Also, a big Happy Birthday to my amazing cousin Tami who turned 33 yesterday! She is currently teaching in Vietnam but I recently found out she is moving to the Dominican Republic, which is a lot closer thankfully, and Michael and I can’t wait to plan a trip to visit. I’m still hoping she’ll come back to the PNW someday, but I’ll take a beautiful place in the Carribean to start : )

Those colors look great on you, Amy. And that necklace is beautiful.
Have fun at Cinderella tonight!

I’ve always been a fan of dressing in neutrals and adding sparkle. That’s a great neutral on you. You’re inspring me to wear a camel sweater, dark trousers, and a sparkly necklace to my next holiday party this Wednesday.

I sent you an award on my blog today!
