A Weekend of Holiday Fun

Hope you all had a great weekend, I can’t believe Monday came so quickly. Today I’m wearing this outfit (the sweater dress) again so was happy to have some weekend outfits to share with you instead!

Saturday I met up with the You Look Fab group for lunch at Sazerac restaurant in downtown Seattle. I was going for a “casually festive” look so paired skinny jeans with a black tee, a fun red scarf I got for free with purchase at Victoria’s Secret, and topped with a black velvet blazer. I got this velvet blazer probably 6 years ago at Target and didn’t wear it much until I finally had the shoulders moved up a little last year – an expensive alteration but worth it! I had a wonderful time meeting all the ladies, such a great group of women! We talked lots about fashion and those who had been able to go shopping before hand showed off all their fun purchases.

Jeans – Gap Always Skinny, T-shirt – Gap, Blazer – Mossimo (similar), Scarf – Victoria’s Secret (similar), Shoes – Max Studio (similar)

We had a holiday party at our friend’s Emily and Nick’s on Saturday night and then met up with our other friend’s Amanda and Brandon after that – a fun night! I paired my velvet skinny pants that you saw here recently, along with a winter white sequin tank and topped with my Zara tuxedo jacket. (Seen previously here and here) Black shoes were the obvious choice, but I decided to pair with this sparkly gold and silver pair that my mother in law just passed down to me, and then chose my metallic clutch to tie together with them.

Did you dress up for anything this weekend?

Well Amy you inspired me to get those Gap velvet skinnies. I get most of my pants and jeans there since I won a contest back in April for 50% off for 1 year. 🙂 I just hope I can rock them and look as adorable as you! Keep up the great work, love your blog!
And P.S. my sis works at BCBG so that is my 2nd love. I might have to try the red blouse as well!

Red and black is one of my favorite color combinations at this time of year. I also like green with black and light blue with black.
