Going Green

Is it really only Tuesday? Ug. Well, at least I had a fun Monday night dinner out with our friend’s Jed and Lorena last night for Seattle Restaurant Week. Went to the new restaurant RN74 and it was delicious! Had cauliflower and crab soup, as well as amazing short ribs. Also brought along a bottle of Chianti we brought back from Italy – it was as good as we remembered!

Today’s outfit is once again inspired by pictures found on the wonderful Pinterest. My friend Amanda pinned the pic below and then I repinned it with intentions to copy immediately. I don’t buy a whole lot of green stuff, but when I saw this picture, I was glad I kept this Old Navy blouse I managed to get for about $12 by ordering it on clearance online along with a coupon. It is the same blouse as the printed one seen here – I now own this blouse in 5 different prints/colors… (I get very excited when a blouse fits me well)

So here is my Tuesday copycat courtesy of  lookbook.nu, sorry my posing isn’t as cool

Pants – Ann Taylor, Blouse – Old Navy (similar), Scarf – Ann Taylor (similar), Shoes – Payless

I absolutely love your style – it’s so “clean”. Each piece gets to speak for itself and nothing is overdone. Brilliant.

Ahh, I love your take on it! What would we do without pinterest? Such a wealth of great, attainable inspiration.

I always like animal prints best paired with strong colors, especially jewel tones as you did here. I often think or red or orange, but green is a great option too, nice idea!

I often just think red or neutrals, so seeing the picture with the green has definitely helped me think outside the box!
