A Fashion Show and Baseball

Had a really fun Thursday night with our friends Brandon and Amanda. Amanda invited us to go along to the Fashion First Fashion Show here in Seattle that was an aution to raise money for charity as well as a fashion show showcasing Seattle designers. We started the night off with a delicious dinner at a restaurant in our Belltown neighborhood called Local 360 – they source all of their products from within 360 miles, very cool! And it was deliciously Primal as well – I started with a specialty drink, just subbed soda water for ginger ale so it was sugar free, then Michael and I shared a goat cheese and peach salad, with a main course of an enormous juicy pork chop over cream of mushroom (the real stuff, not out of a can) string beans- yummy! Forgot to take a picture of that though unfortunately…

Here is my outfit for the night, I had originally tried this blouse tucked in, thinking the proportions wouldn’t look right with something untucked – but that didn’t work, so I tried untucked and somehow with the shorter hemline, I really liked it!

Skirt – Zara (similar), Blouse – NY&Co, Shoes – Carlos Santana via Ross (similar), Necklace – Premier Designs, Clutch – Coach

I didn’t get a good pic of our favorite dress, which was a gorgeous green long sleeved number, but here was another favorite, a beautiful grey drapey dress. Amanda and I also had a good time laughing at some of the clothes too : )

And here we are heading out at the end of the night, isn’t my new fashionable friend gorgeous? So jealous of her hair and those leopard heels! : )

Friday is finally here! My company does a summer event and winter event each year for the employees and it is my job to plan them. Tonight is our summer event, and we have rented out a suite at the Mariner’s game so I am looking forward to that! So today’s challenge was to dress appropriately for a baseball game, as well as be ok for the little jazz club we are planning on heading to right after the game to see our favorite jazz singer, Stephanie Porter. She is amazing!! Decided to keep it casual with jeans and wedges, then added a comfy tank that has some great detailing at the neckline to make it a little special. A  little cardi keeps me warm for work and the game, then I can take off for the jazz club.

What are you up to this Friday night?

Jeans – COH Ava, Shirt – West Kel via Nordstrom (similar), Cardigan – Halogen, Shoes – Target

Such a great pic of us in our matching silk tops! Yeah, our running commentary throughout the show was my favorite part. 🙂 So many fab and not-so fab looks. It was nice that they showed a variety of styles… See you guys tonight!

I love that electric blue color of your skirt. And you do have the best set of legs I have seen in I don’t know how long. You should wear a skirt, dress or shorts every day of your life – even in the dead of winter 🙂

It looks like a great event you attended. And your company party sounds fun too. You can’t go wrong with jazz and baseball.

Last night, I had dinner with a long time girlfriend of mine at a great Italian restaurant while my husband attended a BBQ in the town where he grew up, about an hour away. I also got an afternoon manicure and pedicure. A great Friday.

I hope the rest of your weekend is fantastic….

Thanks Adrienne! Hope you had a great weekend as well!

Two great outfits. You have wonderful legs for skirts and this blue skirt is such a pretty color on you. Untucked the shirt has a casual vibe for the outfit. Perfect for a fashion show. You and your friend were two stylish looking gals, super! And the baseball outfit is a great transitional outfit. Wedges are a perfect idea for switching from a sports event to a club/bar. I’m going to remember that for myself!

Those jeans fit like a glove on you…I love the outfit with the white cardigan. Simple and chic.
