More Travelin’

Well we are off for a quick trip to San Francisco today! I haven’t been there for about 5 years, but the last time I went was with one of my best friends, April, and we had a blast! So excited to enjoy the city with Michael, and to top it off, a 3 day weekend is awesome as well.

I would like to ask you all to keep my good friend Sarah in your thoughts and prayers after a fire badly damaged her new house last night. She and her husband and 2 boys all got out safely, but she lost a lot of sentimental things that can’t be replaced with insurance and I can’t imagine how difficult it would be to go through seeing the home you have created lost to fire, even though of course she knows the most important thing is that her family is safe and together. Our thoughts are with you and the family Sarah, I know you all will get through this and create a beautiful home again.

And on the note that we are reminded that things can be taken from us quickly and that it is people and family that really matter, I still had to get dressed today, so I chose another travel outfit that I have come up with. I have been hesitant to buy a maxi skirt, but when I found this one on sale for $30 at Macy’s, I picked it up and am really liking it. It is super comfortable and doesn’t wrinkle so is great for an airplane ride. Just paired with a simple tank, a scarf, and sparkly sandals and there you go. Added my denim jacket to keep warm.

Hope you all have a wonderful Labor Day weekend, see you back here Tuesday!

Thanks Amy for the prayers. We are moving forward, knowing we have friends and family to support us.

On an insurance/fashion note I want to encourage you and all your readers to take the time to photograph your closets. You never know if you might need pictures to recreate your wardrobe in the event of a disaster. You never think its going to happen to you (I certainly didn’t) and if you can have photographic help its worth so much!

Glad to hear you are doing alright. That is great advice and I will definitely share!
