Trendy Try Out

Happy Friday everyone! Les Mis was awesome last night, totally worth getting home at 11:30pm for. I only cried at the end, so not too bad. Going to see “The Help” with some of my girlfriends tonight, the book was amazing so I am hoping the movie doesn’t disappoint. Any reviews?

Today’s outfit is inspired by Corinne at The Lookbook. I decided instead of tucking my shirt in all the way, I would give the “half tuck” trend a try today a la Erin here. Oh, and I am definitely on the look out for a yellow skinny belt like Corinne’s – I made do with my gold one instead.

What do you think of the half tuck? Cool or not so cool?

I’ve done the half-tuck, sometimes inadvertently. It depends on your proportions and if you have a flat tummy/full tummy, flat rear-end/curvy rear-end, narrow waist/wide waist. This particular look works on you because your jeans are long and narrow, which allows the half-tuck to highlight how narrow your legs are. Also, the cardigan, which brings some structure to the look, offsets any potential “sloppiness” of the half-tuck. A curvier figure would want to make sure the shirt is loose enough on the bottom to allow the untucked portion of the shirt to flow about their waist and high hip area – otherwise, it will just look untucked.

I’m really analytical about thes things!

ha ha, yes you are but that’s not a bad thing! Good tips for others!

Well, I LOVE it, but I suppose I’m a little biased 😉 Thanks for the mention!!
