Keeping it Comfy

Happy Friday! Definitely looking forward to this weekend, except that my hubby is out of town at yet another bachelor party. But this gives me time to get some things done that I need to, and also spend some quality time with my girls. Tonight I am planning on hanging with the kitty kids, watching a movie while eating this amazing grainless pizza, and getting a bunch of thank you notes done – so behind! Tomorrow I am going to do some errands, get my hair highlighted, and then have a fun night out with some girlfriends planned. Sunday I will be doing the Make A Wish Walk for Wishes out at Marymoor park in the morning, then plan on doing a little thrift store shopping until I have to pick Michael up at the airport Sunday night. Whew, it is going to go by too fast!

Now enough about me (well, it is my blog so I don’t feel that bad) but in exciting fashion news, the store Zara is going to be online beginning September 7th, can’t wait! I fell in love with Zara when I was over in Italy – perhaps Michael needs to hide my credit cards, the bill could get ugly. Other fun news is that the Banana Republic Mad Men collection is out today, and truthfully there aren’t that many things that I am in love with, at least for my body (I don’t do well with high necks) but I am pining after this gorgeous leopard print trench and this navy tie neck blouse. And the good news just keeps on coming – Missoni for Target will be in store in September!

And finally on to today’s outfit. It is supposedly going to be 77 today, but it is completely overcast, wasn’t even 60 degrees when I left for work this morning and the clouds are still covering any possible sun. It is hard to believe our weather forecasters around here  – they are wrong at least 50% of the time. So I’m in the shower, thinking I should wear a skirt while I have the chance, but also wondering if it was really worth shaving my legs for – is that sad? Well, I took the lazy route, so ended up here in leggings, my white button down tunic (last seen here) and just added this belt I picked up on clearance to jazz it up a bit. The good news is I need to run a bunch of errands at lunch so my flats are great for this. And I am also very comfy.

Ok, you are probably tired of reading now – hope you all have a great weekend!

Leggings – Banana Republic (similar), Tunic – H&M (similar), Belt – The Loft (similar), Shoes – Target

very cute! I tried searching your site (in case it had come up before), but what kind of watch do you have?

I don’t know what I’m lusting after more: the navy BR blouse, or the grainless pizza. I know the right answer should be the blouse, but I gotta say it’s the pizza! I’m going to try it this weekend and see how it turns out. My husband would love to have a good thin crust pizza with San Marzano tomatoes and spicy Italian sausage (there is no equivalent to Tutta Bella in Austin).

I ended up getting the blouse and I love it! Just enough shape to it, which I have a hard time finding in blouses. Let me know how the pizza turns out – the key this time I realized is letting the cauliflower sit for a little while in between paper towels after you chop it.

I LOVE this outfit, but then again, I’m partial. I have the same outfit 🙂 I haven’t blogged it yet. Wore it once last year and wasn’t blogging yet. Can’t wait to wear it again this fall! It looks SUPER cute (and comfy) on you!

Can’t wait to see this belt remixed, since I have the same one. 🙂 Cute outfit!
