Thanks J!

So today’s outfit inspiration comes from J at J’s Everyday Fashion. I have decided that my “going out” shirts don’t get enough time out of the closet and am determined to make them work for the office on a more regular basis. When I saw this outfit, it immediately made me think of a grey shirt I have┬áthat has generally been regulated for nights out on the weekend.

So here is my version, the neckline of this top is asymetrical, but I like the way it adds a little interest under the blazer. I just added some big turquoise earrings for a touch of color!

Do you have certain items that you save just for going out?

ps – Sorry about all the crap on the floor in the background. When you live in a condo getting things down to the garage takes some time!

Jeans – Hudson (similar), Shirt – The Loft (similar), Blazer – H&M (similar), Shoes – Target

One problem though…. where the holes in the jeans!?

ha ha, I only own one holey pair of jeans and they aren’t my favorite – and perhaps not good for work! : )

I prefer your outfit to the inspiration, the texture in the shirt is really neat. Great colors here on you too! I tend to save my dresses, a habit I tried to break this summer by wearing them once a week to work.
