Blue and Gold

Happy Friday Everyone! Looking forward to heading to Portland this weekend for my friend Leslie’s wedding. It is going to be gorgeous! Then Sunday will be spent hopefully returning some wedding present duplicates.

So I found a fabulous new website/social networking sort of thing called Pinterest. Sign up! http://pinterest.com/

Basically you create and share inspiration boards from pictures all over the web. Check it out! You have to receive an invitation to join, but it only took a few hours to get mine once I provided my email address. And then follow my boards : ) My username is amyreh

Today’s outfit is inspired by a picture I found on The Glitter Guide here. B Jones is a very popular blogger and normally her style is a bit out there for me, but this photo inspired me to make this work for my own life!

Well I was able to make this look happen thanks to finally finding the royal blue blazer I have been pining for at F21, even better! (It maybe isn’t quite as royal as I would have liked, but as close as I am going to get I think, especially for $27)

I would have never used to have done a white pant with a white shirt, but I am glad I have opened up to this with white on white being a trend, as I think it makes a lot of great outfits!

Where do you find outfit inspiration? Any fun weekend plans?

Jeans – 7FAMK, T shirt – Ann Taylor, Blazer – F21 (same blazer available in dark Navy, it may be the same as mine actually, but mine looks lighter than the picture on the site), Shoes – Jones NY (similar), Jewelry is Premier Designs, if you want just ask, I sell it

I’ve worn a blue blazer with white jeans before, but not a white top too, thanks for the idea, I’m going to try this out. Now I just have to figure out what to do for shoes (I don’t have yellow one’s). Hmm…

Silly me, I forgot your questions. I find outfit inspiration from blogger websites (your’s, TX Sarah’s and Bella’s), catalog websites (JCrew, AnnTaylor, Esprit), and my own random searches when I am looking for a way to style a specific piece (say a search on a white blazer and see what comes up). I also have a few key celebrity status people whose style I will check in on from time to time. It’s easier to find outfits on them because they are photographed often. Right now my focus is on: both Middleton girls and Jessica Alba. I used to look at Jennifer Aniston but there haven’t been any recent photos for her. Oh yes and I really like websites that show how to do a look on a budget such as frugal-fashionistas.com
