Accessorizing

Well it is a not so nice Tuesday here in Seattle, but thanks to Memorial Day only a 4 day work week! Anyone do anything fun for the long weekend? We went to a wine tasting birthday party, got a bunch of wedding stuff done, did a little shopping, and then did some rooftop grilling last night. It was a little chilly, but the sun made an appearance so that was nice.

Today its not even going to hit 60 degrees, and I am feeling out of cold weather Spring outfit ideas so unfortunately this is as good as it gets. But supposedly the weekend is going to be 70 and sunny! I’m not too thrilled with today’s outfit, but I think it does show how a good statement necklace can perk up a basic outfit. I’m a little embarassed by how wrinkled this is, I promise the wrinkles fell out a bit! This sweater is so hard to keep unwrinkled, as it doesn’t fold easily and I don’t hang sweaters to avoid stretching. Perhaps a few minutes in the dryer next time…

I think some white makes any outfit (whether for hot or cold weather) look and feel like spring. Lovely pink and white mix for a spring day. The statement necklace is a nice touch, and the deep v-neckline with collar is another fun detail. I think these two touches jazz up this outfit quite nicely!
