Royal

So ever since I saw this picture of Pippa Middleton the day after the royal wedding,  I have been obsessed with finding a royal blue blazer. So cute right?

Well, my blue blazer search is still underway, but I decided I would give this a go with what I already own.

I got this royal blue shirt way back at Christmas time when Ann Taylor was having their 40% off everything sale. I knew I would put it away until the warmer weather was here, and now I have a new shirt I got for a great deal! Anyways, so I replaced the royal blue blazer with the royal blue shirt, added my much loved navy and white striped blazer, white jeans, and my favorite metallic flats. And the sun is out today so no worries about splashing mud on my jeans!

Sarah at the Daily Sophisticate also did a great take on this look. (I’m incredibly jealous of her jacket, Sarah, please send that my way when you are done with it!) : )

Do you like my version of Pippa’s look?

I love this blog! The recipes and fashion posts are right up my alley and this will be a daily view from now on.
Quick question – Is that blazer still available at H&M? I tried their website and could not find it. I love the whole look!

Thanks Mary Rae! I haven’t seen that blazer at H&M still unfortunately, but they are always getting cute blazers in there. I have my eye on an an adorable seersucker one right now. It is just about the only place I buy blazers now because they are modern, well made, and never more than $50. It is definitely worth going into a store and looking if you have one by you. They have a lot of turnover, so definitely one of those places you will want to check back often. Thanks for commenting!

I love that jacket, and I think your look is fab. Very much inspired by Pippa, but also very much you.

I never thought to try H&M for blazers, what a great tip, thanks! I prefer your version of Pippa’s look better than the original one she wore. The striped blazer adds a lot more interest and seems less severe than the blazer she wore.
