Thank you Goodwill

Well I’m not going to complain about the weather here today , not even supposed to reach 50 (so you understand the winter outfit), because I am just grateful to not be where there are tornados and I am left homeless. Sometimes it is good to be reminded that it could be worse.

I got the inspiration for this outfit from Sarah at The Daily Sophisticate – this will link right to her outfit that I am “copying”. I worked yesterday to put together a print out of outfits from Sarah’s blog that I liked, as well as from Moms have style too (even thought I am not a Mom) and from J’s Everyday Fashion. I feel all these lovely bloggers have a style I can relate to and then shamelessly copy : ) Seriously, seeing others with a similar style put together outfits, provides lots of ideas and inspiration! I am going to work on also adding outfits from sites I like such as Ann Taylor and Nordstrom on my print out as well. This can seriously help on those “I have nothing to wear” days.

Now onto my thank you to Goodwill. I love to shop, it is my #1 favorite hobby. Unfortunately, Michael doesn’t like the credit card bill! So when I want to shop without getting in trouble, I take myself over to Goodwill for a little treasure hunting. Well, this cute denim jacket is one of my Goodwill treasures. I swear it looks brand new, and after a washing, was good as new to me! I still paid $20 for it, but it is GAP and fits like a glove! Plus I feel good supporting a charity : )

Paired this with my all purpose black shift dress, you can get here, my Ann Taylor leopard print scarf, and these great boots that were a gift from my soon to be MIL via DSW. Tights I highly recommend are Spanx Tight End – they have a comfort waistband so no uncomfortable digging!

Are you a thrift shopper? Where do you get your style inspiration from?

This look is great on you – I love that animal print. 🙂 Goodwill is hit or miss for me, and I find that I have to be in the right mood to tackle thrifting. My best finds have been DVF dresses and Nanette Lepore jackets. I find that I have to be pickier otherwise I’ll buy everything that’s “good”, hehe.

Just found your site through youlookfab. You look gorgeous in all of your outfits! I absolutely love the old navy top, it looks so great on you. Do they still have it in the stores, by chance?

Thank you Lawdiva! The Old Navy Top was a very recent purchase so I would imagine they do!

Thanks for the mention! I love your style, too, and am a new follower!
