Ruffles and Wide Legs

I can wear whatever I want to work, and while this sounds nice, I tend to go straight for the jeans and then get tired of wearing them all the time. I am trying to push myself to be more creative and use other items in my closet.

I got these pants as a hand me down from my soon to be mother in law. Lucky for me she has great taste! I just had to have the hems let out just a little because with wide leg pants, you really want to be skimming the floor for the longest leg line. I feel like these colors are a bit on the “Fall” side, but this shirt is actually a bit pinkier in person, and I think the nude shoes lighten it up a bit. I added gold jewelry to go with the warmer colors in the outfit, earrings and layered bracelets.

Wide leg pants can be a little tricky, generally I would tuck a blouse in, but this blouse is sleeveless and it is too cold for that, so I think adding the cardigan gives enough shape to the top to balance it out. I absolutely gravitate towards ruffles and feminine details, looking forward to remixing this blouse with white pants once it warms up a bit!

Are you participating in the wide leg trend?

You look beautiful 🙂 I love the coral/orange colour in your top, fab! I haven’t found the right wide legs for me yet but I do love them. And your nude shoes are a great idea too!
