Paris Outfits

One of my readers, Regan, asked if I could provide details on some of my Paris outfits and I am happy to oblige! I actually packed completely wrong for Paris, I was thinking it would be more summer, and instead it was definitely leaning toward fall. My mother in law and I had to actually buy boots to wear in London and popped into Banana Republic to pick up some sweaters. I’ve added a few new pictures too.

For the warmest day I wore this floral midi skirt that I just love. planning on pairing with a burgundy top for fall.

A cooler day I bundled up a bit for

Teal and Purple

Last night we headed out in the West Village with my in-laws for dinner, one of my favorite areas of the city. It is starting to cool off here, and I find leather or faux leather to be perfect for summer to fall transitional wear. I added an extra pop of color to the teal and cream palate with my purple purse.

Hope everyone has a fabulous weekend!

Piperlime Collection and other Fall Picks

This past Saturday I was very excited to attend the Reward Style fashion week party at the Empire Hotel. It was a bit intimidating though, everyone was so beautiful and stylish. Piperlime was a sponsor and I got to check out their new collection – so cute! The quality of the items is great for the reasonable prices, and free shipping and returns.

I love this matching top and skirt set, great together or as separates. Perfect now with bare legs and sandals, later on with black tights and booties

This dress is so cute, also great for transitional weather. I fit a medium in it, but it would be better on less curvy body types.

A wine colored silk dress at this price is fantastic

A pink moto jacket will keep you right on trend through winter

I’m a huge sweater dress fan, so comfy

I’m also loving this faux leather front sweater from Banana, I took a medium

Now is the time to buy to make sure you get first dibs on coats – this one is just beautiful with a draped collar

Can’t wait to try these fluid drawstring pants from Loft, they look so comfy! Perfect with a cropped top, maybe the Piperlime one above!

Paris, London, and Reims!

Hi there! I’ve finally returned from Europe and we had the best trip! We spent most of the time in Paris, with a day trip to London, and then spent our last weekend in Reims and Champagne country. I absolutely fell in love with the latter – such a beautiful place. We got warm weather some of the days, but it was much cooler than I expected overall – I packed for summer while they were switching to fall! My MIL and I even had to go buy boots so we didn’t freeze in London, and make an emergency stop at Banana for some sweaters. Oh well, we survived and managed to have a fabulous time eating, drinking, shopping, and doing lots of walking! I will let the pictures speak for themselves : ) Hope all of you had a wonderful long weekend as well!

Happy Almost Friday!

Florals and Pink

As fall is fast approaching I’m pulling out all my summery florals and shoes. Wore this outfit to work from a coffee shop and run a few errands, a silky blouse and jeans with fun shoes is always an easy outfit formula.

This week has been a bit crazy packing for Paris! We leave Friday and I’m so excited. Michael and I are headed there with my in-laws, and then will spend our last weekend in Champagne on our own. This will be my last post as I get all my errands done and work wrapped up before we leave. I will be back just after Labor Day with lots of fun pictures to share!

Hope everyone has a fun and safe holiday weekend!

White and Citrus

Today I’m joining a number of lovely ladies showing “How I wear my: White” hosted by Rich Life on a Budget and Everything Just So.

I wore this all white outfit to dinner and drinks with friends last Friday night. Pairing different textures is an easy way to make this kind of look work, then I just added some ankle strap sandals and citrus colored accessories for a little punch. I’m also obsessed with this gorgeous Kendra Scott necklace my husband gave me for my birthday – I wear it with just about everything!

Happy Hump Day!

Boho Brunch

Sunday I headed out to brunch with my friend Tara to a great little rooftop spot. So cute with a live jazz band! It was a beautiful day, not too warm, so I decided to layer a maxi dress with this crochet poncho I found at a boutique in Nantucket. I definitely plan on layering this over jeans and a tank as well, so many options!

I’ve also been wearing these studded gladiator sandals just about everyday – so comfy and they add a little something to the simplest of outfits.

Thanks for stopping by!

Dress – Splendid (similar and on sale! I’m a medium in Splendid usually), Poncho – Boutique (similar and on sale!), Shoes – Guess via Nordstrom Rack (similar and only $40!)

I’ve been slacking on the posting lately because last Monday I headed out for a whirlwind tour of the West! I flew to LA to visit my mom for a few days, then spent a day in Long Beach with my friends before heading to San Diego for one of my best friend’s wedding. Now I’m currently in New Mexico for a few days with my sorority sister Kara and her 3 girls, heading home on a red eye Wednesday night. Whew!

I’m having a great time though, the wedding was just beautiful and then my first night in New Mexico Kara’s oldest daughter, Allie, and I made cocktails and mocktails – I call her my mini cray-cray : )

The Saturday before I headed out on my trip we celebrated my friend Mario’s birthday at a fun place in Manhattan called Barcade. I wore a new top I picked up recently at Nordie’s that I am obsessed with – the fringe just makes it so fun! For its first outing I paired with white jeans and black cage sandals – it doesn’t need a whole lot more!  I took an 8 in this top.

Top – Topshop, Jeans – Loft, Shoes – Franco Sarto (similar)
