Last night I had some of my New York ladies over for a fun holiday party and gift exchange! So lucky to have such a great group of friends here in my new city.
I got these pants last year at Loft and they are perfect for a festive evening, and I’m loving lace right now, so I paired them together for a fun holiday outfit. I also decided to take advantage of staying in for the night by wearing my sparkly wedding shoes, that are a bit too high for me to wear out much now.
Hope you all are having a lovely holiday season so far!
Here I am with my friend Angela – she got me this super fun bag from Chelsea Market and I love it : )
And all the girls!
I’ve been slacking on the outfit pictures lately but I wore this a few weeks back, on an unusually warm night, to have dinner with our friends that were in town from Seattle. We went to this adorable place called Rosemary’s in the West Village that is one of my favorite spots.
A blazer was all the layering I needed so I paired this navy blazer with gold buttons over an orange blouse – one of my favorite color combos!
Happy Friday, hope you all have a great weekend!
Ahh, life has been so crazy lately! On top of moving, then having family in town, I had to spend last week in Phoenix for work. Now ready to finally enjoy being settled in our new place! I’ve got the Christmas decor up and I’m ready for all the fun holiday events!
Saturday night we headed to the New York Botanical Gardens with our friends’ Liz and Jim for the holiday train show they have there. It was so cool! And fortunately indoors as it was raining buckets. I didn’t make the smartest shoe choice for the evening…. wellies would have been more appropriate.
Still had a great time though, and I was cozy in my new Lou & Grey sweater for the evening. I jazzed it up with my favorite leather leggings and my plaid purse and red booties added a festive touch.
Thanks for stopping by!
Hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving! We had a nice one here with lots of yummy food. My mom and I did hit a few stores on Friday, but for those of you who prefer Cyber Monday here are some of my picks!
Loft is having 50% off everything and it is a great place to get affordable, not too dressy holiday wear, as well as fabulous gifts. Use code Monday.
This lace sleeve sweater is perfect to dress up with a skirt for a holiday party. It is on the shorter side (which I prefer for skirts) and I took a medium.
This tee dress is cute and easy to wear, just throw on with ankle booties. I took a small.
I’m loving the Lou & Grey line for stylish lounge wear and this tunic is so cute. Took a medium for a more relaxed, longer fit.
This sweater is so warm and cozy without being itchy, and I have very sensitive skin. It does shed a small amount but I love it. I took a medium for a longer fit.
Very cute ankle pants with subtle pattern, easy to dress up or down. Took my regular Loft size 4.
These ponte pants are very comfy and the leather trim is adds a luxurious touch. Took my regular Loft size 4, but if you are between sizes, size down.
Sort of obsessed with this velvet romper, but haven’t been able to try it on.
This little popover scarf is so cute and would make a great gift.
Piperlime is also having a fabulous sale, 30% off with code “cybersale”! I’m a big fan of their new Piperlime Collection – super cute items with affordable prices.
I’m thinking about pulling the trigger on this southwest blanket sweater – so cute!
This dress looks so cute and comfy
A velvet collar blazer for less than $90? Yes please.
This would make a great NYE dress!
Also considering pulling the trigger on this eyelash sweater with shoulder detail - it looks so cozy!
Ann Taylor is offering 50% off with code “cyber50″
If I weren’t going to be in Jamaica for NYE, I would be here wearing this jumpsuit
I’m also loving this sequin mini
These velvet ankle pants
And who doesn’t love a cozy cashmere sweater?!
What Cyber Monday deals are you taking advantage of? Happy Shopping!
Everyone ready for Thanksgiving? I’m very excited to be hosting this year, my mom and brother will be visiting, and we have a few friends coming as well. I’m leaving my mom in charge of the turkey (that’s what mom’s are good at right?!), but here are the sides I’m planning on:
Wore this outfit to dinner on a cold Friday night, perfect to break out some faux fur. I love this tunic button down for layering, it was a great find and is 40% off now! I’m wearing a small.
Hope all my American readers have a fantastic Turkey Day! I’m very thankful for all of you who visit my little blog, it truly means a lot!
Last week I headed to happy hour with my girlfriends and wore this cute and comfy little sweatshirt dress. I love the jeweled front, this dress would be perfect for a casual Thanksgiving. This large wristlet picked up the burgundy color from the jewels so I grabbed it and was ready to go!
Thanks for stopping by!
You will notice a new background in the pictures for this post, we moved! We’ve pretty much settled into our new place and I’m loving our new neighborhood.
Saturday night we headed to see a band I really like called Lake Street Dive. I pulled out my winter shorts to pair with tights and then added a blazer to stay warm.
Happy Hump Day!
This week and next are going to be a little crazy for me, we are moving! Thursday the packers come, and Friday we are on our way! We aren’t moving far from where we are now, but are heading to a wonderful neighborhood in Brooklyn called Cobble Hill. Our new place is right across from the family butcher shop, and the street has everything we could possibly need a few steps away, so I am very excited! When you live in the city accessibility to everything is top priority – Starbucks across the street – check.
So anyway, I might not be back to blogging until later next week, but looking forward to settling in and getting back to more regular posting.
Last week I headed to my Chi Omega Alumnae board meeting – we’ve been having beautiful weather lately and I’m taking advantage of it by wearing heels instead of boots. Plenty of time in the coming months for those!
I put together the grey sweater with the teal pants, and was going to go with a grey shoe, but decided to get a little crazy and add mustard instead : ) I like the combo! I’m not sure I loved this bag with the outfit, but I have a limited number of bags that are practical for walking around Manhattan and this was the best I could do.
Hope everyone has a great week, thank you for stopping by!

Last night we headed out for dinner in the West Village with some friends, and I wore these with jeans and this great woven sweatshirt. I love the dressy-casual mix it provides.
We are headed out of town tomorrow morning through Sunday for our friends’ baby’s baptism in Guadalajara – can’t wait to see them all! Hope you all have a great weekend and I will be back next week!
